Stockpile with Coupons
Once you learn how to coupon, you will want to build a stockpile You will want to stockpile items while something is at a rock bottom price, you won’t have to pay full price when you run out and have to have it. The best part about it is you can apply this principle to both grocery and retail.
Why You Should Stockpile
Have you ever purchased a child shoes from a clearance rack in March at a larger size for the next winter? If you have, then you’ve already had experience in stockpiling! By purchasing the shoes in March, you easily saved 75% off what you’d pay the following October. You thought ahead and purchased a discounted product knowing you’ll need it in the future. Now take that “buy ahead” principle and apply it to the grocery store! Buy three bottles of shampoo when they’re nearly free knowing that in the next few months you’ll likely run out. You now just saved yourself from purchasing a full priced bottle down the road.
Don’t go Overboard When you Stockpile
Stockpiling responsibly is what will make the difference in your budget. Keyword: responsibly. In order for stockpiling to really save you money, you must be reasonable. We do not recommend turning your garage into a store and hoarding items from other couponers.
Once you start couponing and finding great deals you will become familiar with the rock bottom prices you can get on items. You will be outraged at some of the prices you paid in the past for things like razors and toothpaste! Here is a price check list for newbies to help you get an idea of what you should spend on essentials.
